SET OF SETS. In how many ways is it possible to investigate the notion of time? Guy Nader and Maria Campos continue to explore it as a fundamental concept digging into the idea of infinity as an unceasing cycle. The rotary motion, in particular, is the leitmotif of the piece, almost recalling the clockwise and counterclockwise motion of the pointers, the movements of evolution and rotation of the planets and the trajectories of all the objects that move in space. Playing with the practice of contact, the bodies of the dancers on stage challenge the notions of gravity and speed. SET OF SETS thus generates repetition and rhythm in the movement of the bodies, which study gravitational interaction as a metaphor for the repetitive nature of existence and as an immovable metaphor for the interaction between the bodies themselves. Five dancers and two dancers in all. A space of metallic colors in which between the protagonists are generated dynamics of magnetism. To build the sound worlds of this scenic universe there is the music performed live by Miguel Marin, made of electronics and percussions. The exploration of space-time begins in silence and ends in silence. Everything in between is not the representation of life, but life itself. SET OF SETS was awarded Premio Ciutat de Barcelona 2019 and also in two different categories: best choreography and best performance in the XXI Premis de la Crítica de les Arts Escèniques 2018 in Catalunya, Spain.

GUY NADER E MARIA CAMPOS. The Lebanese Guy Nader and the Spanish Maria Campos are an independent ensemble based in Barcelona. The artists have been collaborating together since 2006 and conduct an artistic research aimed at redefining the boundaries of dance by seeking new territories of investigation and action.
Their works have been shown in various festivals and venues around the world. They have also been invited as guest choreographers to create for various companies such as EnKnapGroup in Slovenia, Eva Duda Dance Company/Movein Mission in Hungary, Tanzmainz Company in Germany and XieXin Dance Theatre in Shanghai. They received the 2017 DER FAUST German Theatre Award for their work FALL SEVEN TIMES created with Tanzmainz, Staatstheater Mainz in Germany and received the 2019 City of Barcelona Award.
Searching for strength and delicacy in movement, they allow an entire imaginary spectrum to arise, revealing and providing an endless bodily landscape. Together they have drawn a common interest in pair work where they experiment with new ways of approaching the relationship between two or more bodies, developing strategies and tasks in order to provide the body with a distinct image and perception.
