Forget Me Not explores the theme of memory and the duality of human consciousness, drawing inspiration from Leyland Kirby’s work (The Caretaker). The performance investigates how time and oblivion shape individual identity. An intimate and reflective atmosphere, a minimalist visual palette, and an evocative soundtrack are the key elements of this piece. The choreographic language blends fluid and fragmented movements, playing with contrasts between tension and softness. Pauses and repetitions evoke the themes of amnesia and the persistence of memory—nostalgic tones, never-ending embraces, and a desperate race against the sleep of the mind. Performers wear transparent shirts as a testament to their vulnerability, compelled to navigate darkness in search of each other. They are almost the same as before, yet not quite—where even the music is no longer clear, and what is missing is irretrievably lost, buried in the recesses of memory. Supported by EFFEA, Forget Me Not has earned an artistic residency in Šibenik (Croatia) and was presented at Quinzena de Dança de Almada. The performance will be featured in renowned festivals such as Aerowaves (Bulgaria), Interplay (Italy), and Malta.

Since 2019, Catarina and Tiago have formed a contemporary dance duo known for their innovative and direct approach. They have showcased their creations at prestigious festivals in Portugal and abroad, earning critical acclaim. Among their major achievements: the Audience Award at the SoloDuo Festival in Cologne and first place at the Prospettiva Danza Teatro International Competition in Padua. With Matomari No Nai, they won multiple awards and participated in international festivals such as Quinzena de Dança de Almada and MasDanza Festival. In 2024, Forget Me Not won seven awards at the Teatri Riflessi Festival in Sicily and continued its international tour with performances in Croatia and Mexico. After making a mark at the 29th edition of MasDanza Festival, they now return to Italy for their debut at Interplay Festival 2025.
