A dance performance piece that explores the trajectory of two bodies in constant relation. The work aims to deconstruct the traditional format of theater and dance, playing with audience expectations and posing a fundamental question: what is truly necessary to create a performance? Structured like a puzzle whose pieces are dismantled, searched for, tested, and continuously reinvented, MEGASTRUCTURE is an immersive, ever-evolving experience. It forgoes music and theatrical artifacts yet remains hypnotic and deeply engaging. Mechanical bodies and puppeteer-like manipulation are the focal points of the movement language developed by Isaiah Wilson and Sarah Baltzinger for this piece. Between “distorted bodies” and physical theater, using chain reactions and the concept of “action and consequence,” the performers are challenged moment by moment to find creative solutions through movement. Improvisation transforms the stage into a laboratory where different applications of weight, resistance, bounce, release, suspension, and isolation are explored—shifting between moments where the body moves as a whole and others where it fragments. Here, the body itself defines musicality and scenic presence.

Their projects have received strong support this season, with three productions currently on tour: MEGASTRUCTURE (2022), winner of the prestigious RIDCC competition and selected among the 20 artists to watch by the AEROWAVES networK, VÉNUS ANATOMIQUE (2023), a creation by Sarah Baltzinger. SCORE (2023), a choreography by Isaiah Wilson. Additionally, a dance short film titled SUBMERGE, directed by Isaiah Wilson, is currently in production. In parallel, Sarah Baltzinger is pursuing her research on puppet bodies and dolls through an interdisciplinary project titled LES POUPÉES (working title).
