Interplay incontra creativAfrica e CISAO. Created in collaboration with the University of Turin and the CISAO research center, and in synergy with the creativAfrica festival, the talk brings together a panel of experts on the theme of interculturality, accompanied by a photography exhibition curated by the Department of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences at the University of Turin. The exhibition will showcase images created by students involved in international cooperation projects. After an aperitif designed to highlight typical African recipes, a multi-actor dialogue will foster the direct involvement and protagonism of young Italians and Africans as a driving force for possible change. To conclude the talk with a creative moment, there will be a live musical performance by the GroovySoup Collective.

CISAO. The Interdepartmental Center for Research and Technical-Scientific Cooperation with Africa (CISAO) brings together the diverse technical and scientific expertise present in various departments of the University of Turin in Italy, and those from the entire African society. Along with its partners, CISAO builds knowledge and solutions for resilient territories and agricultural systems in a more sustainable and supportive world. The Center mobilizes science, innovation, and education to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. In particular, all of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as a point of reference for CISAO and the driving force behind its actions.

DISAFA.The Department of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences (DISAFA) is a department of the University of Turin focused on research and education in the fields of agriculture, forestry, and food sciences. DISAFA concentrates on scientific studies related to the management of natural resources, environmental sustainability, food security, and the enhancement of agricultural and agri-food supply chains. The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, while also promoting advanced research activities and technology transfer. It plays a crucial role in agricultural and food sustainability, aiming to develop innovative solutions to improve quality of life, protect the environment, and address challenges related to food production and distribution.

CREATIVAFRICA. CreativAfrica is a platform and initiative aimed at promoting and supporting the African creative industry, with a particular focus on arts, design, music, fashion, and other forms of cultural expression. The goal of CreativAfrica is to highlight the artistic and entrepreneurial potential of the continent, offering opportunities for visibility, networking, and development for African artists and creatives. The platform facilitates collaboration between industry professionals and promotes the strengthening of creative economies in Africa, helping to connect the continent with the rest of the world through events, workshops, and training initiatives.
