Inspired by the figure of Pierrot, this performance explores the theme of impossible love with a touch of melancholy and magic. A journey between dream and reality begins, pulling the audience into a suspended universe where desire is just another name for solitude. In each scene, the cartoon-like character reveals enchanted landscapes of imagination and fantasy, blurring the lines between dream and reality—experiencing and enduring pain precisely because of this. Based on Roberta Maimone’s MEM method, the choreography brings to life fluid, ever-changing movements enriched with a touch of humor. Enhancing the intensity and immersive quality of the experience are the stage costumes, designed by the choreographer herself for performer Federica Lovato, whose precise facial expressions further amplify the performance. The fusion of these elements reinforces a bittersweet and nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of an animated film about impossible love. Pierrot does not hesitate, nor does he fear the disappointment of love—he takes the audience on an emotional roller coaster, punches into the void, gets lost in long, meaningful silences, yet never forgets his nature as a character, the power of storytelling, or the refusal to surrender to reality.
