Screaming Fifties‚ Roaring Forties‚ Strident Sixties are the names of some winds that blow in the seas of the southern hemisphere‚ near Antarctica.
Our thinking regards the ship and those who inhabit it.
Dewey Dell
The name Dewey Dell is a tribute to Faulkner and the young girl of As I Lay Dying‚ through whose eyes this company from Cesena is prepared to wander on the impervious routes that lead to the abyss.
Dewey Dell was founded in Cesena in 2007 through the union of the three siblings Teodora‚ Agata‚ Demetrio Castellucci and Eugenio Resta‚ with pronounced attitudes towards markedly different and specific areas of work‚ without renouncing a constant collective shaping of the material. Teodora is the author of the choreographic action and the costumes‚ Demetrio composes the music‚ Eugenio designs the lighting and sets‚ Agata deals with the technical-production aspects and assists the choreographic creation. Their first work‚ à elle vide (2007)‚ won the special prize of the GD'A 06/07‚ and the company performed at Aerowaves 2008/The Place‚ London‚ and since then‚ has performed at many international festival.
KIN KEEN KING (2008) was co-produced by Centrale Fies‚ Festival de Marseille‚ Uovo performing arts and was the winner of the competition of the ETI-Theatres of Present Time.
In 2010 Dewey Dell presented Cinquanta urlanti‚ Quaranta ruggenti‚ Sessanta stridenti (Screaming Fifties‚ Roaring Forties‚ Strident Sixties)‚ a work that is co-produced by the Romaeuropa Festival‚ Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis‚ Centrale Fies‚ Uovo Performing Arts Festival‚ winner of the project Focus on Art and Science in the Performing Arts.
