Yuval Pick
Yuval Pick is an Israeli choreographer‚ and the artistic director of the National Choreographic Centre de Rillieux-la-Pape in France since 2011. In 1996‚ he won the Grand Prix du Concours International de Danse de Paris. After participating in the creation of “from the inside" by Carolyn Carlson‚ in 1997‚ choreographed his first work “Kvedim”‚ which premiered at the Festival Gvanim in Tel-Aviv.
He has collaborated with the Ballet de l’Opéra National de Lyon‚ where he performed works by Mats Ek‚ William Forsythe and Jiri Kylián. In 2002‚ he founded the company The Guests in Lyon and created “Cotton Crown” for the Biennial in Venice at the invitation of Carolyn Carlson. Successive creations include productions for the Ballet de Lorraine‚ for the IRCAM Agora Festival‚ the CNSMD of Lyon‚ the Junior Ballet of Geneva; furthermore he made important choreographies for the Biennale de Danse in Lyon‚ Festival International de danse de Cannes and Montpellier Danse. In 2012‚ he is working on the creation of “Pulsar”‚ pièce for 8 dancers‚ sponsored by the Biennale de la Danse di Lyon and Théâtre de Chaillot.
