Improvisational performance that takes its cue from the physicality of the places and the presence of people, that then become the central points of the work, along with any possible unexpected events. The dancer will adopt a highly personal hybrid technique of skateboarding/dancing and explore percussive and lyrical movement styles, somewhere between a farce and the acrobatics of skateboarding on crutches.

Bill Shannon
Bill Shannon is a dancer and a media artist, creator of both solo and choral projects.
His work is rooted in street culture and stimulated by the fine arts He is renown worldwide in the dance and performing arts world, underground hip hop, the club dance scene, as well as the community of disabled artists.
His works have been presented nationally and internationally over the past 15 years in various festivals and events, including at the Kaaitheater in Brussels, Performance Space 122 and The Kitchen, both in NYC, Sydney Opera House Studio Theatre, Australia; The Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Oregon; Central Park Summer Stage, NYC; Dance City, Newcastle, UK; Contact Theater, Manchester, UK; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; Arizona State University, Tempe; The Exit Festival, Cretiel, France; Amman International Festival of Independent Theater, Amman, Jordan; The Holland Festival, Amsterdam; Temple Bar, Dublin, Ireland; URB Festival, Helsinki, FI; Melbourne Fringe Festival and Teatro de la Ciudad in Monterrey, Mexico, and many others. In 2002, he collaborated with Cirque du Solei, for which he choreographed some elements of the production Varekai (currently on tour). Among his best known works are the performance Flow in 2009 and Work it out.
His many awards include a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship and Foundation for Contemporary Art Award. He has also been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, National Dance Project of the New England Foundation for the Arts, Jerome Foundation, New York Foundation for the Arts, Arts International: The Fund for U.S. Artists.
